On Google Assistant, say “Hey Google, what’s this song?” and then hum it. Tap the mic icon and say: “What’s this song” or click the “Search a song button.” Then hum for 10 to 15 seconds. On your iOS device, open the Google app or find the Google Search widget. Hum the tune, then wait for the results to show up. Hum to Search on iPhone Users can tap the mic icon in-widget or in-app to call up the search function, then either tap ‘Search a song’ or say ‘what’s this song? ‘ for the song search option. Finally, start humming, singing or whistling the tune to get your results. Then, tap the Microphone icon and say “what’s this song?” You can also tap the Search a song button. To get started using Google’s new feature, grab your phone and open the latest version of the Google app or Google Search widget. Important: This feature is available in English on iOS mobile. You can play the song for Google Assistant to identify or you can hum, whistle, and sing the melody of a song. You can ask your Google Assistant to identify songs that play around you.
